Can we get a transfer cost thread going?

Wester Auto (yes, Western Auto) in Siler City charges $20. I've used them close to a dozen times. Owner has to be there and they get busy sometimes so there may be a wait bit it works out great for me.

Knightdale Pawn charges $25 for every transfer, even if you're getting multiple guns at the same time. I believe they charge $20 if you have your carry permit.

Knightdale Pawn now charges basically $45 per gun if you're paying with a card. About $4 less if paying with cash. Never gonna use them for this service again.

James and Dustin are good people!

Also, Clayton Guns does 'em for $15 cash and the store is full of fun stuff.

First time in the store this year, and they have raised their prices! First, a non-CHP transfer is $40 + tax, and if you pay with a card, there is a surcharge. Total price with card is $44.40!!:mad: Not cool, man. If you have your CHP, it's (I think) $5 cheaper.

I was in Pilot Mtn Guns (next to the Harbor Freight) in Mt Airy the other day. Guy behind the counter said $20 transfer. He thinks that's per 4473, not per item
Update on this. In or out is $20. If multiple items at same time (i.e. - ordered a bunch of receivers), $20 for the first one and $10 each additional items

That's a big bump.

I'll stay with Clayton Guns!

I’ve heard good things about Aisle Pawn in downtown Mooresville so I was going to try them out. Unfortunately, after emailing them last night, I learned that effective Feb 1st their transfer fee is up to $40.

Also, a bit of an annoyance to me, they won’t share a copy of their FFL with anyone except another FFL. So I can’t send it to an individual or to an online dealer myself.

Liberty guns in hillsborough 35 bucks. Close to me and reasonable, and at least to me. Only other local I checked was mace sports and they were 60

East 70 Pawn is my go-to where I'm at. Transfer fee there is 25 dollars, same as been for the nearly twenty years I've done business with them.

Relatively new gun shop in downtown Mooresville. Guns on Main, in the basement of Jewelers on Main. Nice store, nice people, pretty good inventory, and prices looked good-to-average. They do laser engraving and will soon be able to handle NFA sales/transfers.

Transfer price: $45 + $20 each additional
Closed Mon/Tue

In my neck of the woods, Shannock's Pawn in King and Red Oak Outfitters in Pilot Mountain both charge $25 per item. A local high-profile LGS charges $30 for range members and $50 for non-members. You can guess who I use.
