Ok guys, my sister is sending me links to cars to check out/suggest for her. Being I'll be the one paying for it, final decision comes down to me. So, for those of you that work on cars for a living, would you mind giving me your opinion based on past experiences. I know, as far as older cars go, it all makes a huge difference on how they're maintained, driven, etc. Im just looking for opinions please. I know what I have bought and my experiences in the past, but sometimes, another voice can go a long way. I also know I just need to drive all and go from there too. Thanks. I'll list the cars and miles, money is from $1100-$1650.00, a/c works in all. All have clean title's.
2003 Toyota Corolla S. -- 229,000 miles, leather, power everything, new clutch, new battery.
2003 Ford Taurus SES-- 150,000 miles, new PS pump, new trans., new alternator, everything works as should.
Paint is bad (clear coat)
2006 Chevy Malibu--No miles listed (probably high), very clean, new-ish tires. Not a whole lot of info.
2000 Mazda Protege--One owner car, 250,000 miles, Every maintenance record available including an engine rebuild in 2017, paint and tires are good, everything works as should.
