This was a fun match today. One of the better ones you have done out there.
Thanks!

You're welcome! We're glad you enjoyed it! It was a fun series of stages yesterday and even after 2 months of not touching a firearm (that crazy busy, the weather and just plain gone!), I did pretty well!

That's the interesting thing....we designed that back in July to be a bit simpler for August because of the heat and with just two of us having to do setup and to help keep times "down" a little so we could all get out sooner. Funny thing was, it turned out the opposite on being a quicker set of stages...we ended up with higher scores than usual! It's always an interesting debate on what will work and what won't and even now, 3 years in, we cannot accurately predict which stages will end up with more cleans, which will go smoothly or which will seem to give people the most problems.

We are very grateful for all the help in cleaning up we get, especially on days like yesterday where our squads are bigger than the norm. It means we can get out, get food and get home and get scores done before we both end up napping on the couch!

Hope to see you next time!

Yeah, you edged me by just over a second! Was a day I was thinking "I might have this match today", but you each got two clean runs and that was it. Well done.
Next time I am gonna be more tactical about looking for a clean stage or two if possible.
Of all the matches I have shot out there, I have never shot on your squad, so would like to next time.

It was a good day for me! My best result yet and yes, I felt the same way for about 2/3rds of us doing the scores...that maybe....just maybe....I had my first overall win. Considering my last result and then with life being crazy, it was the first time I'd even shot in 2 months. Thank you very much....for the first time in nearly a year my knee was happy to be ran on and the last stage (4) I watched a few people who were doing really well suddenly have issues...and being last...I decided I was going to keep my head on, think and work it. I could have shot it faster, but it was one of the stages I cleaned and I'm not sure I could have shot it 11 seconds faster without some additional practice. But I knew I'd shot it clean when I removed the mag and cleared the pistol.

The only big question is which squad will I be on! I end up tending to wait until the end and see if other ROs have shown up, but if possible I'll try to remember to pick the squad you're on. It's always good to shoot with people who are near you or better than you on scores and learn. I know I've learned a lot but missed out on more as many overall winners have been on other squads. Be nice to shoot on the same squad and see what we can learn and how we push each other! See ya next time!!!

Come on out and shoot some with us! Video and bullets! I'm Match Director and RO for a squad, so I barely get time to remember to pick up the right magazines I've already gotten loaded for a given stage, let alone make sure a camera is running! LOL It's not unusual for me to run the timer right up until it's my turn to shoot...

I'm hearing excuses when I should be watching videos.

I got some vids, but they're huge. I'll have to YouTube them and link. Maybe tomorrow.
