We are In our late 70’ and need to put a stair lift to the second floor in our home.
The stairs have no corners and wall along one side extends about 6 ft at the bottom and stops at the top step.
The first floor has 9 ft ceilings and I think there are 17 steps.

Anyone have recommendations about what to get, design alternatives, company to purchase from and install?
What should we watch out for?

My old neighbor I think had an a Acorn stairlift. https://www.acornstairlifts.com/

They have battery backup should the power go out. She would limit the number of times using it to preserve the battery.

It folds fairly flat so that others can use the stairs or move stuff up/down.

She's at least 93 now and still lives alone in her own house
