CMP Rack Grade

Has anyone ordered a rack grade or rack grade plus in the 6-12 months? How was the quality?

Has anyone ordered a rack grade or rack grade plus in the 6-12 months? How was the quality?

I ordered 2 last year before the prices jumped and they were both really rough aesthetically. However, both had HRA receivers and both eventually shot pretty well after a bit of cleaning, adjustment and a few parts being swapped/replaced. I also went to both the South Store and TMP in late April and all of the rack grades on the racks at both places were in pretty awful aesthetic shape with correspondingly poor ME/TE numbers. They were all at the lower end of the description range. I would not have bought any of the rack grades that I saw. If you are thinking of buying one, read the full grade description on the website and expect the worst of that.

If you get the chance, make the trip to the South Store and/or TMP. They had some much nicer field and service grades in stock in the stores. I grabbed a nice field grade that cleaned up great and groups quite well.
