I was one of the first to get in on round 3 and picked field grade. Ended up getting a very rare JSB marked colt from 1945. Surprised it didn't go to auction as they pull a very pretty penny. Hopefully with round 4 they open it up to re-orders from people from previous rounds, as I would like to go for range grade this time, as they are more likely from national match or special forces use.

Hmm... Only 1hr 30min from ATL. I'll be in ATL mid October.
It is worth the trip to hit Talladega Marksmanship Park and shoot for a while if you are heading to Anniston. Truth be told, TMP had better quality Garands for sale than Anniston did - though Anniston had more rifles and more types (1903, 1903A3, M1C, M1D, etc.) available.

My brother just picked up a Marine Corps M1C while there a week or two ago. I think he said the others were painted Greek returns.

I need a .308 garand
I was in negotiations with an acquaintance about one. He had several Garands, including more than a few NM. He had a couple of 308s he was thinking about letting go.

A few months after we started talking about it, he was killed in a car crash.
