I'm not sure why but I've always wanted one and I kind of stumbled into one in 38 Special. Are these things the worthless pile of crap I can't seem to get past in my head or are they decent enough to serve a purpose?

I had one in .22 mag that I picked up for almost nothing. It was pretty much garbage. Finish chipped on the muzzle the first time I shot it, trigger was about 37 pounds, and was LOUD. I don't think I'd shoot one in .38spl after seeing how poorly the .22 mag was made.

I dare you to shoot a .38 Special +p out of it. If you do, you'll only do it once.

I have one in 9mm for shits and giggles. The only way I could hit.a.person with it is if I was to stick it in his gut.

I figured as much but had to ask. I'll keep trolling for something else cool.

I've had several American Derringers. Good stuff, had a .38 that weighed 6 ounces. Worked better After we Cut the barrel Off! Yep..we did.

This truly happened, shortened a derringer. Only at Battery Oaks would you find an perfect Browning Citori O/U with the barrels cut to 18 inches.
