Much interest

I know you've been wanting a Colt lower for years...AND it's your birthday today....just saying.

I've never used an ambi lower. Don't even use an ambi safety on most rifles.

Wouldn't mind trying one. Head would probably explode.

The next time we're both at CCGC 2 gun HMU and you can use my ADM if you want, not exactly a competition upper but you could swap on any carbine or mid length upper without issue.

I appreciate it! I have shot ambi guns, but just used them like my regular gun. Kwim?

What do you like about ambi and what changes with your gun manipulations over a non-ambi lower?

Yes.

I like that Ive got controls on both sides.
I've used the left side mag release a bit. When stressed, cold, wet, thick gloves make it hard to hit the regular catch its great to have. I haven't had any issues with hitting it accidentally while slung.
The the ambi safety is kinda useless TBH. I had the forethought to buy a short lever for the right side and I don't think Ive really used it.
So far the most used bit is the right side bolt catch. Its got all the functionality of a BAD lever with none of downsides or risks. This is the main reason I bought one. I've personally witnessed two bolt catches breaking and a ND because of BAD levers. Did a spend $300 to make a tiny manipulation change? Yes. Also also just wanted a high quality matched receiver set and got a great deal.

I think the bolt catch would be the biggie for me. Could quickly get used to that. AR bolt catch makes for weird unloads. I don’t care for bad levers. But I like the idea of them.
Being able to keep your hand on the grip is the way it should be.
