Conceal Carry Holster for a Springfield 1911 MilSpec

I want to conceal carry my 1911 Mil Spec .45 What is the best Holster for this so that it does not print?

Holsters are like underwear it really depends....LOL. So many factors to consider. Body type, IWB, OWB, leather, kydex ....

I disagree... carry a full size 1911 strong side AIWB in what I call a Leather Slipper holster. It's kinda like a large DeSantis Nemesis.

I'm partial to a Summer Comfort leather iwb at 4 O'clock for my 1911.

For me it’s a Milt Sparks VMII or a Warbird Leather IWB/OWB convertible with a 18 degree cant. I am at 4 o’clock IWB more towards 3 OWB. The IWB loops snap off and there are belt loops underneath.

I prefer kydex because I can reholster without undoing my pants. Holsterco and alpha concealement make great holsters for Aiwb

I think he’s looking for OWB

Edit: although I see others are suggesting IWB as well.

I’m a larger dude, like the OP, and OWB just works better for me.

Ive got the two basic kinds in leather, the Milt Sparks type Summer Special and the I think its the VM2 with the spread loops. I find them terribly uncomfortable. Ive gone to a Bianchi X16 Agent X horizontal shoulder holster. As long as you have on some kind of outwear, jacket, zip hoodie, whatever, it doesnt print unless the garment is too small. I wear it shooting skeet under my barn/field coat.

I carry my full sized Colt 1991A1 in Milt Sparks Criterion.

It has a 25 degree slant to it which really helps with concealability. Two belt loops keep it from shifting, and I have three magnetic clasps on them, which are nice.

I carry mine about 4 o'clock.

This is a RH Commander sized Kydex with a leather liner to protect the finish and quiet the draw and reentry.

Fits very discretely close to the body for good concealment. Angle is adjustable.

Full size holsters also work as well!

Check out Dara's line, especially the MTO Minimalist IWB/AIWB. Or one of their full size Kydex holsters if you prefer.
