My thoughts exactly. One thing I did like was that they referred to the CC guy as a citizen, not a "civilian".

Unless I was clearly defined as a "friend" in some manner, I would really hesitate to assist LEOs by just shooting back at the enemy, lest I take a bullet by cop myself. - How do these scenarios play out?

10 to 1 one of the first things out of these LEOs mouths were " you got a license for that?"
