I've always heard that caniks are CZ clones and prices of these cheaper guns have gone up quite a bit. I did a quick google search and the matching equivalents didn't pop up. I'm looking specifically for the CZ model that "inspired" the TP9SFX.
Canik makes outstandingly good handguns. I have two of them and gave one to an entry level friend. Get one. You will not be sorry.I've always heard that caniks are CZ clones and prices of these cheaper guns have gone up quite a bit. I did a quick google search and the matching equivalents didn't pop up. Ain't no way I'd give an entry level friend a gun. Said friend better be the kind of guy to have my back no matter what, ya know. A 9th or 10th level friendCanik makes outstandingly good handguns. I have two of them and gave one to an entry level friend. Get one. You will not be sorry.
This is @tanstaafl72555 we are talking about. An entry level friend for him is in the 'help bury a body' territory. Everyone else is competition.Ain't no way I'd give an entry level friend a gun. Canik makes CZ clones which are imported by TriStar.
Canik makes Walther P99 knock-offs and derivatives which are imported by CanikUSA.
The original Canik TP9 (here and here) was very similar to the Walther P99. The TP9DA is the closest current Canik to the TP series' P99 inspiration.
Since the Walther PPQ is essentially a P99 without DA or decock capability, you could say most of the current Canik TP series draws inspiration from the PPQ.
