Is anyone making a decent aftermarket thumb safety for these guns to replace the useless flat factory lever?

Or has anyone come up with a good mod or home workaround?

There isn't anything available at this time. I have seen a guy modify his using Sugru, which is a moldable glue. Think of it like silly putty, but it dries up to a hard plastic feel and won't come off unless you remove it. I've actually used Sugru to add palmswell to the grip of one of my P-09's and its rock solid.

This may be the ticket. I have never heard of this but the write ups on it sound promising. I was thinking of using modeling clay to create a mold using a 1911 thumb safety. Then filling the cavity with JB Weld and once that set attach it to the CZ safety lever with a thin layer of JB Weld. But this Sugru stuff might work too. Thanks for the tip.

If you look around on the CZforums (the original one) you can most likely find a picture of it. Ive thought about doing it to mine but I don't really mind the stock one, my thumb hits it pretty naturally. You can also find some other pics of Sugru mods too. That stuff is pretty amazing, its like it was welded to my grip, a year later and lots of heavy use it hasn't budged or started to flake anywhere.
