How do you like the Pakse handguard vs the factory one. Been thinking about one for mine but haven't convince myself I need you yet. How much trouble was the barrel nut to remove? Did you have to use the special tool or were you able to use a regular wrench. Thanks.

I though that was strictly forbidden!
Theres still a few in the house. 7 or 8, I think.
Those things are like cash in an account lol. I sold a few to fund some higher end stuff I couldnt normally afford

I love that, a few in the house 7 or 8.

I'm babysitting a 97 for a buddy I'll have to get a picture tonight with my p01. Matching 2020 manufacture dates.

Funny how the world works...I had a 97B. Wanted the BD because all my other stuff is mostly decocker, but it was at a good price so I bought it.
Several years ago, we went through a great caliber reduction phase. Sold pretty much everything that wasnt 9mm except my pocket 38.
I only ever had two 45s, and had sold my 1911 years before, so the 97 was included in the selling by my own choice. Shouldnt have, but being a B, it didnt really bother me much.
Fsst forward about two years, my wife and I go to a gun show. We end up splitting and when I find her next, she has a brand new Sig P220 in her hands.
"But, honey, it just fit my hands so well!"
I have used that very same line before, so I couldnt argue lol.
I simply replied with, "Well, I get to get another 45 now" and smiled real big.
It took at least another year, but I finally found a 97BD for a non rape me price and snatched it up.
I absolutely love it 😍

And that is the story of how I got my 97BD and she got her bedside gun 😂

Oh man used your own words against you. I see my wife doing that at some point in the future. She lost her mind when I brought home the henry 22. She likes "old western style guns" her words lol

Unfortunately...or fortunately depending on how you look at it, I purchased this already installed. I've still got the factory handguard but don't intend on putting it back on. Although I've never shot this Scorpion, I have shot my buddy's Scorpion that also has the Pakse handguard.
Maybe @TRaGiK or @Madram can chime in and give a better info.

@JohnnyTyler - I've shot the Pakse, HBI (what's on my gun), and factory handguard.

Factory is garbage. It lasted a couple weeks I think before I changed it out. It's better than grabbing a hot barrel...that's all the good I have to say about it.

Pakse is hands down the best bang for the buck, as long as you keep the stock barrel. It's a great piece.

The HBI like I have on mine is simply the best. Not the best for the money, but simply the best. But it's double (or more) what the Pakse is. HBI will work with the stock barrel, or aftermarket barrels.

ETA: I was the one that changed the handguard on @Suwand28 scorpion, before he bought it from a friend On his, there was NO loctite, and the factory guard came right off. The barrel nut on mine was a pain, but it came off without a LOT of trouble. Another one I did for a friend had so much loctite on it that we had to put a butane torch to the nut to heat up the loctite so it'd let loose.

That P01 is a super solid gun, I’ve got one similar in black. I like those grips.

I know I’ve posted this one earlier in this thread but took a better picture of my favorite pistol not long ago. It’s a CZ customshop worked variety.

Man I want a parrot so bad for literally zero reason other than I want it
That’s why I got this one, it is available. Was planning on posting a WTS thread after I take more pictures this evening. Shoot me a PM if your serious, am open to trade offers.
