Boyd's laminate. Wood is harder than a woodpecker beak. If you get one, drill the pre-drilled holes out before you put the trigger guard screws in. The CZ wood screws aren't very good quality and you might pop a head off one :(:confused::eek::oops::rolleyes:o_O
This is the sight-in farting around target I shot at 25 yards. Unfortunately it likes high dollar ammo. 10 rounds each fired kinda fast.
2.5-8 Loopy scope. This is set up for grandson's foray into Youth Hunter Ed. They only shoot at 50'.

Looks like it's time to open the pocketbook and get some more eley match. I have some wolf match extra if you want to try it. Good looking gun and good shooting.
HH.

Well yesterday I lapped the shitty CVA rings, changed the scopes and went back to the indoor range. I re-zero'd at 50' since that's the distance the kiddos in the Hunter Education program shoot. I really didn't take my time and that damn 2.5#+ trigger sucks but here's what I came up with. 5 shots each dot, 12 different boxes of ammo. Xring is .5".

Pretty happy with it all in all. If he gives up on the Hunter Ed program (which will happen if history repeats itself) the trigger goes to a new 6 oz. and I stretch it out to 200 yards. Very happy with the Bushnell Rimfire side focus 3-9.

Going back today and take a little more time. I'll see which load duplicates itself, zero to center and let him have at it.

I didn't see cci sv listed, but I highly recommend giving it a try. It won't quite do what tenex Will do, but it shoots very very well in all of my 452s
