I am a big fan of COM BLOC Cold War firearms and edged weapons. Two of my favorites are the Makarov pistol and the CZ75. I just picked up a seldom seen CZ75 factory cutaway pistol and thought to share such a relatively uncommon pistol with those of you on this forum. I have the original factory box which displays the serial number and confirms it is indeed a factory produced cutaway pistol.
The frame and slide, (both investment castings I have read,) do not display the usual Czech proof marks, date or "Made in Czech Republic" marking. The frame has the earlier CZ75 round trigger guard while the slide is a CZ75B style with the firing pin block. Likely the frame, slide and select parts were factory 2nds unsuited for the construction of an actual pistol but serve well to complete an educational tool such as this.
Now I need to get some dummy 9X19MM cartridges. Enjoy!
