A weird, post apocalyptic twist on the high school angst movie genre. My words.

This is a series on Netflix. It has a lot of issues, don’t get me wrong, but I am really enjoying it.

The no kill policy of the protagonist and the gay scenes are the two biggest issues. But one keeps the story going and the second I just fast forward through.

Really funny though.

I passed, and based on your comments I called it right. Thank you.

Ok. Downloaded the season and watched a few episodes... The opening monologue almost made me turn it off... but I held on...

Yes, it's PC... Yes it's preachy... It's also pretty funny and well acted, with pretty solid cinematography. An interesting twist on the apocalypse concept mixed with a high school dramedy... I'm going to finish the season.

So a gay DareDevil with a man as the love interest instead of a hot blonde.

Hard pass.

I’d say more of a Charles in charge crossed with Mr Belvedere, crossed with the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, except Mr B is cutting up kids to eat them and the fresh prince is having sex with the captain of the football team.

Yeah I was the same way. Came real close to stopping it as soon as he mentioned climate change deniers and why I gave the warning. If you can get passed it and a few other things it really is funny as hell and his love interest is smoking hot.

The little pyro girl is my favorite character.

I think the teacher is hot... Like Aubrey Plaza with some meat on her...

Skip to the 1:00 mark... She covers an old Morrissey song in Spanish...

Well I finished it...

I retract my previous statements... It got way too woke and just became a PC tropefest... The end sucked too. The man character is a lame pussy and the love interest is a contradiction on every level...

I finished it last night and was a little surprised how......linear the characters ended up. The last two episodes in particular basically ruined the whole series. More than a little disappointed.

The beginning of the series was still funny as hell though.

I started watching it yesterday just because of your recommendation. It is funny so far. I enjoy shows like this that just make me chuckle because they are so corny. The Golf Club....lol. Thank you

SPOILERS (don't know how that function works)

Yeah. From episode 8 it was downhill hard... Great up to that point. The gay part didn't bother me. It was two guys and it was funny and not graphic. Often it's half the cast. The consent app shit was the worst. I really can't stand Sam. Don't care how hot she is. If I was there in that situation, I'd punch her in the face and take over that town... And the rocket, phallic made by men crap... Gimme a f-ing break...

I like checking Rotten Tomatoes to see the audience score. High audience score usually means watchable.

Decently high audience score but even higher critics score means lots of Hollyweird propaganda, but watchable by average Americans.

If critics score is high and audience score is low, it is guaranteed to be leftist tropefest.

Examples:
female remake of Ghostbusters. critics 74%, audience 50%. I.e., total leftist garbage.

Black Panther. 97% / 79%. Nearly 80% on audience score = watchable, but nearly 100% on critics score means a very [un]healthy dose of cultural marxist propaganda.

The opposite is also true... Dave Chappelle critics 0%/ audience 100%...

Exactly.

Another example: American Sniper: 72% / 84%. Audiences liked it, critics not so much = definite watch.

Joker: 69% / 89%. Another one to watch.

If there was any doubt on where the critics stand . . .
HILLARY'S AMERICA: THE SECRET HISTORY OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY: 4% / 80%

Back to woke Marvel, Captain Marvel: 78% / 53%

Watchmen, season 1: 91% / 42%
