Dedicated 223 Can?

.Mil standard is 10.5"
The dragon's breath will chew up that can quick... Some use Inconel alloys, and that helps, but 7.5" is awfully short.
I personally and professionally recommend a SilencerCo SpecWar K. It is a pretty small can, and designed to be hearing safe within a vehicle.

As for color, you can get DuraHeat from DuraCoat/Lauer Weaponry, and it comes in like 50 colors....
You can also get a cover, and you probably want one if you have ever accidentally grabbed a hot can and left most of your palm behind...
There is no way a 10.5” 5.56 is hearing safe inside a vehicle even with a SpecWar K (which is about the size of most regular 5.56 cans at 6.2”) and they were discontinued like five years ago

Out of curiosity @PurpleGold , why supress a 7.5"? I thought the point of having one that short was to produce a lot of noise and a low velocity small pill. If for a short ruck gun, I'd choose a 300BLK/350Legend type option.

What did I miss/forget? I've two SiCo cans.
Idk really. Was kind of an impulse buy, not real well thought out. Didn’t know suppressing a short AR made things so complicated…. It’s a lot of fun to shoot but damn is it loud…. So my first thought was to suppress it so I didn’t annoy the neighbors so much when I shoot it.

I may go the .30 cal route and scrap the dedicated can idea. Always wanted to build a suppressed bolt action for deer hunting.

I hunt with a suppressed 300BLK. A short 350 would be a more effective defensive & hunting option.
A 556 is 2db louder through my 30cal suppressor than if it was a 556 can. I use a 30 cal for 5.56, 6.5 & 30 cal.
