Del Ton Dissipator Build

Jut put together this lower for the Del Ton complete dissipator upper I bought on Black Friday. Now I need a red dot and off to the range with the hope it runs.

No, it’s the full rifle length gas tube.

I have a Bushy A2 also - one of my favorite AR configurations. I've read it called a "true carbine".

Got the holosun with ADM lower 1/3 mount on and also bought a foregrip. Not a lightweight build by any means but feels great. I’m hoping to get to the range on Monday.

Just returned from the range and had mixed results. I ran 60 rounds of Armscor M855 through: soft shooting, good accuracy, but had feeding issues regularly. It would string together a few and then not feed and few. Never had ejection issues. Initially it was stopping short enough to not cycle the trigger, but by the end the trigger would cycle but the carrier did not go back far enough to get behind the next round.

It has a flat wire spring and I may trim it before fiddling with the gas port.

My local shop took a look at the gas port, the port was not clean. They took a hand drill cleaned it up and enlarged the port from .98 to .99. Now to test again.

Well the gas port enlargement eliminated any feeding issues. I’m down to failure of the last round hold open the majority of the time. Took it to the shop and they trimmed about an inch off the end of the flat wire spring. Getting closer…

Also decided to sell this Yugo 556 AK, it’s just too heavy and impractical for the round IMO.

I think the setup is finally dialed in. It has a faxon lw bcg and the below spring and buffer.
