Devil Dog USPSA - Sunday 7/23

Seen some match videos, looks like a great match. Long drive/day for a Sunday for me though.

I wound up on squad 1. though i'm pretty sure I picked squad 3 when I registered (not that it matters)...
looks like Parry consolidated most everyone who registered by Friday into four full squads (1,2,4,6) with open slots on 3 and 5.

when I went out for the setup today the gist of tomorrow's plan was to try and get things moving and finish up before anyone became a heat casualty... bring lots of water folks but as always there will be coolers on each stage...

Coolers with water on stages or do we need to bring our own water?

Parry usually has water in the coolers, but I wouldn't count on it. Bring as much as you think you'll need.
At the start of the match, coolers with water will be under canopies at each bay. but as noted in light of projected temps (triple digit heat index) I will myself be, and suggest that others, bring some additional water of their own, and do not rely on the pre-staged supply.

with 40+ shooters, 6-7 stages, in the forecast heat, you kind of hope the water holds out. but bring your own as a backup and leave some for those who didn't plan ahead.. in fact i'm sure Parry would be grateful if someone wanted to donate a flat or two to up the stocks..

I did my best to pick apart the stages and game them as much as possible, and they were basically 100%.

Parry and crew killed it. For their 5th match ever, they're doing great.

I liked the match. I've been a 3gunner for years, so it's strange and pleasant to only be carrying around stuff for one small gun.

This was my second ever USPSA match, the first one being last month's match. Very fun, lots to learn. I managed to squeak into the top 10, even!

Flat fender you were on my squad right? I believe we talked about you letting me shoot your shotgun in a 3 gun match right?
Trying to put names to faces lol
