It's not so much "flush with cash" as it is gun "stuff" suddenly made it to the top of a lot of priorities lists.
I'm that guy. I grew up with guns. I've always had a few. I’ve always been meaning to grab a few more. But they weren't at the top of my priorities list.
Well, things changed a few weeks ago, didn't they?
Now I'm one if those guys. I recently started gathering some things I think I might not be able to gather later. Am I paying a premium? In most cases, yes. I've also been able to score a couple of things here that weren't panic priced.
But if I don’t act now, there may not be an opportunity later.
I would imagine 75% or more of new members here are just like me. We couldn't find what we were looking for in the retail market, so we came here.
(Granted, I've learned a ton and realized this is more than a classifieds community. But that's another story.)
@Bullseye Baldee free markets are what they are. You avatar would indicate that you don't have a lot of extra funds right now. It's a tough time in the gun market to be in that position. I would just say this. If I owned a lot of extra gun stuff, now would be the time to do one of two things. 1) Sell it and cash in. 2) Keep it in case I need it later. There would be no need to sell anything gun related at 2019 prices right now. So the market is going to either be flooded with "see if I can get it" prices, or people will simply keep what they have. I’ve made a couple of offers on things here that were flatly turned down. People are holding firm on prices because they know they can get it eventually. I wasn't offended. It "is what it is" right now.
Let me ask you this. If you had plenty of money and a bunch of reloading stuff right now, would YOU sell it here for 2019 prices? Or only slightly higher?? I imagine you would not. You would take one of my two choices above (sell high or just keep it). Let's be honest here.
