Do any of you guys know - I heard they were discontinuing emissions testing in my county this year (Granville). Does this mean they will not fail me for a check engine dash light ? Or will that still have to be off to pass?
Soooo. Why have the inspection anyway?
Its unconstitutional. No taxes on gains made from labor. Income tax is a scam. The state MUST have it's share of anything we may have left over after taxes.... That's one of the reasons we have sales tax on labor that doesn't even have a product attached.....

Thanks! Guess I will just have to be patient.
Yes. But you get inspected based on the address of the registration. So, if I am in Chatham county, can I have my vehicle inspected in another county?
If so, anyone know which is closest?

Yes you can have it inspected in another county, but if it is registered in an emissions county it will still be an emissions inspection. You confuzzled me. Yes, I can get it inspected in another county, or no I cannot because it's tied to address?

Chatham is one of the counties where emission testing is being dropped.
FWIW, if the vehicle is 35 years old, no inspection is needed. Emissions or safety.
