I had a DSA STG58 and really enjoyed it. Very well built and not over priced in my opinion. I ended up selling it to finance another M14 but I still kinda miss the FAL. I'd say buy with confidence, DSA is a quality outfit.

Haven't had it long, but I love mine.
That being said, if you're just looking for a semi-auto 7.62, I'd consider PTR as well. They're about the same price, mags and parts are dirt cheap, and you can get a model that comes from the factory with a top rail which means no dealing with wonky optic mounts.
However, ergos aren't as good, they're stamped rifles (not milled/cast like the FAL), and I hear they are really hard on brass. The Fal also gives you an adjustable gas system. And it's just cooler.

I've got 3 FALs. HK ergos suck and recoil feels weird to me. Of course, that's subjective. Offers may love how the HK feels. An M1a can be more accurate but to do so requires regular maintenance and can come at the cost of reliability.

Have they revamped their CS? Some of what their reps posted on FAL files left me rapidly looking for ANY alternative supplier... extremely condescending and more interested in attacking other makers than putting forward anything resembling a professional image. I'll dig out some of the threads if I can find them. I had high opinion of them based on volume and that just trashed it for me.
