Good thing I can’t read! That’s a badass looking ride, and I expect that it is.
The euro overlords need to better understand the nuances of English slang though, because every time I read that I see "Ducati Hyper-Retard".
That takes all the rider skill and fun factor out of it … unless you can switch ‘em off when you want toMy last bike was a 2001 KTM 640 Duke ii. This is essentially a modern Ducati take on it. Single cylinder thumper with traction control, wheelie control, mode control, etc. 🥰
You can 100% turn them off. That takes all the rider skill and fun factor out of it … unless you can switch ‘em off when you want to
Of course I still want my ‘78 Honda Elsinore CR250 … 2-stroke … basically only a motor, 2 wheels and handlebars. It was a beast and temperamental as hell but I loved it!
I guess the wheelie control has modes and is a wheelie assist of sorts. Mode 1 you can slam it up to 45 degrees and it’ll help you hold it/not loop it?That takes all the rider skill and fun factor out of it … unless you can switch ‘em off when you want to
Yeah a lot of the newer rider aids seem like they work well and would actually make any Joe Schmoe that much faster. I’ve never owned a bike that had any electronic aids, even ABS, so I have no first hand experience with them.Tracking my 900RR at CMP with no rider aids at all was..........fun, lol. I am very fortunate that I'm a super smooth rider, and luckily can really "feel" what the tires are doing. My track bike is a 2001 600 with no rider aids either, but it only makes around 100 HP, so not as likely to spin up too much as long you are smooth with the throttle inputs. Now I have bought a 2020 Yamaha R6 for this season, and I'm wanting to learn to use some of the rider aids just to see if it will help me go much faster. It is a razor blade of a bike, and made I believe 117 HP to the tire. I just ordered some new Metzeler slicks for it, and it's all fresh and ready to go, and I'm chomping at the bit to get it on track.
BTW, that Duck above is so bad azz. I would love to spin some laps on that too.
That yours?
That yours?
How expensive are track days? A few hundred bucks? I always wanted to do one, and have been thinking about maybe trying one once I get another bike.
Mannn I'm having a hard time now. Hypertard 950 or a MT-09SP.
That’s a mighty kind offer. You buy gas there?CMP and VIR are usually around $200.00 per day. If you ever want to try before you buy, let me know and we can work out a deal with you riding my CBR track bike.
I need to buy gear first. I sold my 1 piece leather and Puma race boots 😂 Just have my jacket and helmet left from when I sold my GSXR.CMP and VIR are usually around $200.00 per day. If you ever want to try before you buy, let me know and we can work out a deal with you riding my CBR track bike.

Oh damn. That sounds too convenient to pass up. I will definitely have to discuss this further with you. I’ve had my license and been riding since I was 18 (2005). With a few couple year gaps of not having a bike. Always wanted to ride on a track where I can focus on riding instead of avoiding getting squished by cars.Yes sir, they have unleaded 93 & 100, and also leaded 110. I usually run the non ethanol 93 in it, but it likes the higher octane stuff, but at $9.50 a gallon, it's tough to do, especially when I use around 8 gallons of gas per day. If you attend a N2 track day, they have an intro class that's free, and you would get two 15-20 minute sessions with the novice group. You have to attend a short classroom session with the novice group, where they discuss the track, which lines to take, etc. I'm pretty sure they rent leathers and the rest of the gear also. Depending on your size, we may have a suit to fit you, and I have multiple pairs of gloves and boots. I'd be more than willing to help in any way to help you get on track man.
