EDC revolver

Not every day...but if I choose to carry a wheel gun it's usually this one:

And sometimes this one:

...or sometimes the bottom one on an ankle as a backup to a Glock in the same caliber.

I don't carry this 640 Pro anymore since I bought a Shield 9 two years ago. But when I did I carried it in Remora holster.

Only a man secure in his masculinity will wear pink pants to a gun forum.

I once rode a sick friend's Harly back for him from Bike Week wearing a pink Polo shirt.

Okay...a more manly pic. Lol. Out looking for snakes this morning in the rainy Carolina Beach State Park with a 3" Model 60, loaded with 158 gr. Nyclad LSWC.

Carried every day for 17 years. There were some days when it went on the ankle, and I tried to carry a semi IWB for more capacity but I keep coming back to it. The key for me is I never have to dress around the gun.

My current EDC
Smith 442 Pro with CTC LG-305 grips. Carry the moon clip inside the gun for positive extraction and reload is speed strips for it flatness. Do keep some reloaded Speer shotcapsules for woods roaming.

My other carry revolvers since I no longer have any Smith 3", RB K frames (13,64 or 65)
Smith 58 .41 Mag (OWB)
Smith 442 Pro .38 Spl (pocket carry)
Charter Arms 3" Bulldog (OWB, favorite woods gun in NC, reload shot shells and Lee 240 gr LSWC.)
North American Arms .22LR mini revolver (pocket carry)

We have all seen pictures of some of this man's collection, he can wear what ever pants he likes.

This old ass Safariland No. 14 holster has become a favorite. It works just as well with a Smith J Frame, Colt D Frame, or the Kimber K6. Quite a contrast of new and old with the Kimber.

Not mine, but my EDC is a Colt TrooperMk3 set up exactly like this one: Loaded W/ Federal's .357 Magnum 125 gr JHPs.

My Light EDC is one of these: A S&W 386 Night Guard, loaded with Win. .38Spl+P+ 110 "Treasury Loads."

How's the kimber been treating you?

Very well. I picked it up last December and, since that time, have grown to like it more and more. I wish the old veteran, Colt, had come back to the double action revolver market in the same way that Kimber made its entrance. It delivers on every promise and sets the bar (and price point) high. Initially thought that the price was steep, but it's worth every bit of $150-$200 more than it's nearest competitors...the stainless J frames and new Colt Cobra.

Incidentally, I am carrying it now [emoji846] Keeping me safe at Jason's Deli.

Excellent on both counts. Fantastic. Love the Night Guard series. In fact, looking for a 315. Question, how do you carry your Trooper? What kind of rig?

Well, in all honesty, I carry it to and from work, in the open. My issue pistol (a S&W MP40) stays in the armory (I'm the unit Armorer) I carry the Trooper in an old Rogers Kydex rig when carrying to and from work, similar to this:

But when I carry it as an off-duty, concealed it's in a Bianchi 7/7l...

The NG is carried in a Wild Bill's Speed Scabbard, like this:

Oh, A 315 NG, sheesh, that's one of the rare ones...I heard that of the NG series, the fewest( is that really a word?) made were the 315(K-frame .38spl), 310(n-frame 10mm) and 357(n-frame .41 mag)...I dunno if this is true, I do know the aforementioned are very hard to find...

You are correct. Not sure about the production numbers, but they are hard to find. I expect to pay for it. I'll bend over backward to get one...just won't bend over forward [emoji846]. I know what it's worth.

On the other hand, I often carry a Model 12 snub. It is really just a low-tech version of the 315

The model 12 w/ a Tyler T-grip, or Butler Creek(Craig Spegel designed) boot grip, that and the m15 2" w/ a Tyler or boot grip, it really doesn't get any better, does it?....Any way, M12...great revolver, ahead of it's time.. Dammit Man, you really are a snubby slut, aren't you?
