Looking for something to do bulk rifle powder measuring. Tired of the beam scales time. What days the brain trust? Rcbs chargemaster lite? Lyman gen 6? Something else?

Frankford Arsenal Intellidropper. It has a Bluetooth app to store favorite loads so setting up the charge is simple. It is decently accurate with both pistol and rifle powder. It doesn't ever overthrow, but does on occasion underthrow a charge. Never more than .2 gr.
I still use the beam scale to check and trickle up rifle loads as necessary.

My 5+ year old Lyman Gen 5 Touch Screen Digital Powder Scale and Dispenser has performed exceptionally well. The Gen 6 models are now on the market.

Depends on what level of accuracy and repeatability you want and what you are willing to pay. I had the RCBS Chargemaster 1500 for 5 years when I started rifle reloading. It claims =/- 0.1grain accuracy. It will do that on a good day and that is good enough for most shooting. The Lite version works well too. I have one of those now and I use it for load development and non competition shooting out to 1000yds. If you are a competitive rifle shooter into F class or Benchrest, I would recommend the A&D Weighing FX120 with the auto trickler. +/-0.02grns accuracy and thats a kernel of Varget.

I would love to have one of those but aren’t they like $1400? I don’t want to drop that right now

Chargemaster Lite is a winner. Fairly easy to use, accurate but does occasionally overcharge by .1 or .2 grains. No biggie, just toss it back in the hopper and repeat.

Let us know how it works.

It came today. I unboxed it and used it to load 30 rds if 65cm. Used 41.5gr of H4350. It did good in my opinion. Had 2 over throws of .1 gr and one under of .1 gr. It lets you know with a distinct tone that it’s not right. It was pretty fast too. I set it to auto mode and would drop the powder while I was seating the previous bullet. Made it easy to get into a rhythm. So far I’m impressed. I’ll take a video next time I load some and post it. Maybe tonight.

So I loaded 60 rds of 6.5 CM tonight. I am using 41.5 gr of H4350. I let the unit warm up for about 45 mins or so. I loaded up the Intellidropper and did the powder calibration it has. I dispensed 38 straight chargers with no problem. #39 was over by .1 gr. This was the only one out of 60 charges that was not spot on. I really like this thing so far. It really makes it easier than weighing everything out on my beam scale. Heres a short video of it throwing a charge in the auto mode.
