But SOME Michael... just not all MJ. Mostly some mediocre one hit wonder with an amazing featured artist for the chorus lol

You know I didn't click this thread because 98% of the time 80's and music are mutually exclusive. Then you dragged me unwillingly into it.
Quintessential 80's sound-

Please, sir, understand that I meant it purely in a joking fashion and meant no harm or serious ill will.

You need to hang here for a weekend. Or grab me on the way to the mountains. I can bring enough good bourbon for us to fill the hot-tub and drown in just to be funny. That would be a hell of a weekend just based around that DVD.

We could make it a marathon. Quadrophenia, Tommy and The Kids Are Alright. Although my liver may not be up to that.

C'mon man! I saw your post, laughed, and said, "Oh no he di-n't!" ;)
As music preferences, it appears I'm in the minority.

I'm not old enough to remember the 80s, but still love the music. Reminds me of playing GTA: Vice City.

I suspect there are others here that probably can't remember the 80s, but for a different reason. 😁

I'll preface this by saying that this 80's playlist is a work in progress and probably always will be. It doesn't include hair bands, so it is slanted toward more "alternative" music that is indicative of that decade. There are some songs that, when you hear them, are unmistakably from the 80's.

Some of you are too young to know what it is like to have a blank tape ready to roll...and be prepared to jump out of your chair or launch off your bed (while you're reading Lord of the Rings or a Choose Your Own Adventure Book) to hit "Record" to catch your latest favorite songs.

God Bless Generation X: The last generation to experience an analog childhood and a digital adulthood.

Spotify might be a festering wad of social justice warriors, but there is no better mechanism (to me) for making playlists without having to buy the music one song at a time. I never share my playlists but what the hell. Ya'll are special.

That was real!
"I made you a mix tape."

Since we're riding the nostalgic highway. You folks that grew up around here remember this every Friday at 5?
Think he started playing it in the 80's.
