Executive Order re:Gatherings of >100

Witnessed a several thousand strong St. Patty's day pub crawl in downtown Raleigh. Mostly young folks of legal drinking age. Not even the Coop would ban religious gatherings but I did not hear that exclusion from the "executive order".

I can confirm that. I would for a large senior living company and we are not allowing any visitors. All staff and any delivery drivers must have their temperature taken and answer questions before proceeding. Anything we can do to keep the greatest generation safe is not a bad thing.

Even if the prohibition weren’t physically or strictly enforced, or for that matter enforced at all, it might give some folks the mental nudge, to do the right thing and engage in distancing practices or the justification (putting the blame on some “authority” for doing so.
 
My dad was notified he can’t visit my mom until further notice. She is in full-time Alzheimer’s care. He visits her every day and takes two cookies for them to share. He told us she may not know whether he comes to visit or not, but he knows she will miss that cookie every day.
 
Speaking only for myself, I'll continue to do whatever the hell I want, whenever I want and it's going to take a bullet to change my mind... Cooper AND Trump can kiss my rusty ass.....
This whole thing has been blown out of proportion by the press and I have ZERO faith in anything they say or do... Kiss it!!

They closed the flippin PARKS in Tega Cay, I let them know they were being retarded. Started arguing with some lib o the city Facebook page who is totally cool with everything the government does. Wish Trump would have overblown the virus so the media would have called him hysterical and we would be past all this.
 
Yall can get mad all you want, but the fact of the matter is that this virus is spreading exponentially and while most of us won't need hospitalization, by the sheer numbers the medical facilities will be overwhelmed & people will die from lack of treatment.

Please don't make this political. It's not. It's simply a public health crisis that needs to be dealt with swiftly (ask Italians). To gufaw at this only makes the inevitable faster and much worse.

If you can, practice social distancing to help slow the spread & flatten the curve of those infected. You're already 2-3 degrees from someone infected, that's almost a guarantee, and while you may be healthy, your parents, grandparents, church elders, etc are not and will not fend well against something like this.

Yes, it is. But we are not making it political. When Politicians order us to do things, they are making it political.

These days most folks think that the only solution to a problem is the political solution, through government action.
 
Well I am proud to say I went to church yesterday worshiped and there was alot of like minded people there. Message was Numbers chapter 16 and it was right on target to what is going on.

I don't have a link, or at least directly, but in this video (below) a few minutes in they mention that the Netherlands is seeing something similar, it is young and otherwise healthy people who aren't considered part of the at risk group that are requiring ICU care and ventilators.

 
DMV staff tried to get people to leave and use website for renewals but everyone needed other services.
Then they tell us to keep an empty seat and no standing. If you can't find a seat they want us to sit in our car and they will text us to keep social distancing. ;)

The Feds passed the RealID law in 2005, what is a few more years? I waited 30 min. to get to the clerk, took her a few min. to wipe her hands with the sanitizer cloth after looking at my papers, then put gloves on that were too small with all the rings on her fingers. Then I had to sign from that instructs sex offenders they must register. :eek: This does not apply to me.

All due process related activities for criminal court are still going on. Things like initial appearances, first appearances, probable cause hearings, bond hearings are all still happening. Some district and superior civil hearings are still happening while being scheduled more closely. No small claims court.

If the attorneys were smart they would all be scheduling a crap ton of bond hearings and trying to empty out the jails.

Yes it is, statewide for 30 days. Durham schools closed. Orange too. UNC looks like a pandemic wiped out everyone. A parking lot is set up as Respiratory Screening. Nobody much there yet. Every restaurant and bar in Illinois is closed! New York is the interesting one. Gov. Cuomo has appropriated $4 million and extra powers. National Guard locked down New Rochelle. Whatever the health risks, this has empowered the Authorities to assume extraordinary powers. Personally, I believe it's bio-weaponized common cold that escaped accidentally. Sure did accompany world wide economic collapse most conveniently. Screwed World Order hopefully...

Ours canceled services yesterday and already for next Sunday. First time I know of we’ve done that, and I’ve been there since ‘76. We don’t cancel service for weather. We’ll sometimes cut back to just one service and no Sunday School, but there’s always at least one worship service...until yesterday.

But with 12,000 on the roster, and about half of that present on any given Sunday, we have a decent amount of young and elderly and otherwise not-in-their-prime-healthwise to worry about...
 
Now the president is recommending 10 people max at gatherings. I think containment is a thing of the past.
