There are a lot of threads already here about stolen cards, well let's go the other way now.
Shopping, as I always do, this morning at the local WM and as I was putting my cart into the corral I noticed something on the ground.
Let me say that this was about 8:40am, and there was only one other car parked on the non-market end of the building, everyone else on the grocery side.
But I looked down when something caught my attention, pick it up - its a credit/debit card.
Take it in and let them know that it was found outside.
As Im walking out I thought, 'I should put this online, see if anyone MAYBE knows her, can alert her.'
I did. It worked.
Within an hour or so she'd be forwarded my post and went and picked her card up. She dropped it the night before, didnt even know it was gone.
I see a lot of people bitch and moan about Facebook - ie this week I saw someone doing just that and how if youre on there you're feeding into Soros or some non-sense...
Anyway, this time it helped get some back in touch with their debit card.
Thats it.
Social media, and I'd argue this forum is a form of it too, is a great tool. And, like guns, is sometimes abused. But when used properly its a wonderful invention and way of extending your reach far beyond what was available years ago.
Also, felt good to help someone out.
