Faith Hill, Tim McGraw and female armpit hair

I like the story of 1883. Most of the cast and characters are great but....

I CAN'T STAND THE DAUGHTER.

If she goes off on one more speel analyzing her womanhood, what she wants to be, if nature wants the land to be a prarie or a desert, etc, etc, IM GOING TO PUKE. I hope bandits shoot her soon. 1883 could and would be 1000% better without her. She adds nothing to the show but seems to suck a lot of enjoyment from it to me.

Y’all see the latest episode? The Indian pulled the blondes armpit hair.

Nummy

Best use of fast forward. I would screw her crazy butt, just need a ball gag doing it.

Isn't the whole story told in flashback? The daughter is the one who took an arrow to the belly in the first episode, right? It's beginning to look like we're seeing her marry a Commanche, being told that this land is her land, and she's about to be shot in a raid and that's going to lead to her setting up camp permanently right there.

Yep, that's my bet!

Well there is the problem right there. They should have shot her in the mouth. We could get this story moving if we didn't have to listen to her analyze everything under the sun every 5 minutes or so. He'll, I'm guessing if they would cut out all of her BS ramblings they would be in Oregon by now (starting episode 5 tonight).

Jeez, you guys really have an issue with her. I like the narration. Adds depth, IMO. Seen through the eyes of someone who has never seen untouched land. Sets the stage for why Yellowstone is so important to the family.

Normally I like narration. In Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer for instance, it's great. Elsa is just a stupid bitch. She goes in to these big, ignorant sounding soliloquys pondering some of the most ignorant crap I've ever heard. No one. Not one single person in the entire history of planet Earth has ever pondered a field of grass as much or as often as her. Bandits, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE kill off Elsa and save this series.

I've only watched the first episode, but I'm fairly curious as to what Elsa has to do with the future generations of Duttons and Yellowstone.

Seems like from what I saw in the Yellowstone 'flashback', she's not there when Tim McGraw gets gut shot and returns home to Faith Hill. There are just two boys there.

You get your answer in the latest episode, at least regarding Elsa.

I'm confused...If it's set in 1883 and yellowstone is present time, is tim mcgraw the great grandfather?

After watching last night's episode I'm hoping the answer is what I think it is. Fingers crossed.
That liver infection ain't no joke. I don't think she'll survive waiting for Anti-biotics to show up in 1928.

In 1883, McGraw plays James Dutton — the great, great grandfather of Kevin Costner's John Dutton on Yellowstone.

We should have a CFF bingo game. You place bets on how the characters are going to die in this episode.

We have the technology. I threw this together but you get the idea.

Another reason she might not be in Montana with her two brothers is that she survives the wound and eventually returns to live out her life with her Comanche husband, Sam...

I doubt that. I think she's going to die and the ranch is where they plant her, and that grave is why they stay there.

YellowSTONE..

YELLOW HAIR

Dear Lord. *Rips off bifocals*

The Stone of the Yellow Hair.

Not trying to give any spoilers away to those who have not seen it but......

Am I the only person who enjoyed 1883 but thought that the ending was horrible? Really? After all that, that's how it ends? Bah!

It was the end of season 1. Season 2 is supposed to start playing this fall.

That said, it did establish how the Dutton's ended up at Yellowstone. Overall, I've thoroughly enjoyed this series and look forward to season 2.

Just finished it. I did enjoy the show.
I'm not sure I enjoyed it enough to pay full price for Paramount+ since there's nothing else there of interest anymore. I'm glad they wrapped up this storyline as I may not be in for season 2.

This says there won’t really be a Season 2…just some “encore episodes” (or something like that) this fall:

Wife and I watched the first episode about the time it was released. Finally started back on it this past weekend. She can only handle 2-3 episodes at a time due to how “dark” it is. Can’t handle the killing and traumatic experiences real well. I think we’re wrapping up Ep 8 right now.

I think Tim & Faith have done a great job. The daughter is decent. Sam Elliott is fantastic, as usual.

Wanted to get this one watched so we can start 1923.

We just finished "1883" and loved it. Great show. The daughter, Elsa, doesn't bother me at all, thankfully when I was 18 I met more than a few promiscuous young women. If I had any complaint at all, it was how in each band of Indians they encountered (can we still call them that?) someone spoke almost perfect English - I'm not too sure if that's historically accurate. I actually liked 1883 slightly better than Yellowstone. By the way, Yellowstone Nat'l Park was formed in 1872.

If you watch the 2nd to last episode of Yellowstone so far, the annoying Liberal blond is walking through the Dutton family cemetery and you can see the gravestones of the father, James, the mother, Margaret, and part of Elsa's. It's a good tie-in.

I also watched "1923" with Harrison Ford last night - it seemed flat, but I've heard some thought that of Yellowstone also, so I'll certainly give it a chance.
