I keep trying new guns, but I've been with the G19 for so long now that nothing else feels right. It's basically a gun that can fill multiple roles, it can take a beating, it's not picky about ammo, and really easy to conceal for me. Hard to beat that. Doesn't mean I don;t stick a little wheelgun in my pocket from time to time though. ;)

Glock 19 with RMR-06, appendix carry. To me, it's the perfect balance of conceal-ability, round's held, and reliability. I don't swap off gun's for summer/winter carry, I carry the 19 year round.

XD45 Service with TLR1 AIWB for the past year or so. Working nights I feel light is important.
LCR 38 when I want something smaller.

Glock 43 tlr6 in either Kydex aiwb or sticky holster in the front pocket. Cold weather coats cover an xdsc with tlr3 in kydex @4oclock.

G43 in TR holsters kydex owb. Really want to get a gcode incog for appendix carry which is my preferred method.

I have been a .45 ACP kinda guy for years now. Up until recently, I lugged around a Glock 30SF. Excellent shooter, but a bit awkward at times. I recently purchased a Shield .45 and it very quickly became my primary carry weapon.

I carried a G30SF for a while, too. What a great shooter! ...but carrying a holstered brick got tiresome. lol

6 out of 7 days the G42, LCP is church/small pocket pants gun. Both always with a spare mag :

I bought this 2 or 3 years ago, and rarely carry it, I plan on carrying it OWB 4:00

I like my SR40c. Best factory trigger Ive ever felt on a striker fired gun. Since the FBI left .40 the ammo has come down in price, and the 165gr full power load still hits harder than any 9mm ever will.

Walther PPS 9. Fits like a glove!

For years now my EDC has been a Ruger SR40c. I swap out for an XDs .45 for church simply for less print of the XDs and it's dbl mag holder. For a certified, card carrying, Ruger nut...I have devolved a fondness for the XDs.

I've always been a metal frame and hammer kind of guy. I had shot strikers before, but never owned one until I picked up my PPQ. It was my EDC for quite a while. Wifey liked it so much, she had to have one too lol. She still EDC's hers, but I went back to my roots and picked up a Sig P224. Been carrying it for six months or so and do not feel undergunned at all. As we all know, two is one and one is none, so I picked up a CZ 2075 RAMI to back up my Sig just in case something happens to it.

G23 since 1990. also a S& W model 60 in an ankle holster until recently got an airweight 637-2 to replace it.
Sometimes when I wear a suit and tie I carry a makarov 9x18 in a shoulder holster.
I also have a couple of pocket carry such as a Keltec 9 and a charter arms .38

Let's start this new forum with an old discussion. What is your favorite handgun for EDC, and why?

I've carried a G19 for around 20 years, mainly due to size and capacity. I've never felt undergunned with 9mm.

STI 1911 for times when I'm feeling nostalgic.

KelTec P32 in my pocket whenever I have my pants on.

How about you?

Just making sure I have this straight...when you are not wearing pants, you carry either a G19 or and STI 1911...

We don't want to see/know what he's carrying when he doesn't have pants on... Well... Chdamn might...

The LC9s is my go to for everyday carry, it fits my hand perfectly and conceals very well for me. I bought a Remora holster for it last year, it stays in place much better than I would have thought and it's easy to slip in and out of the waistband when going places I can't carry.

I carry a FNX40 90% of the time in an aliengear 3.0. Other times SR1911. Haven't decided to carry the RIA 10mm yet.

Y'all realize threads like this are why foreign conglomerates buy gun forums right? When the invasion starts, they want to know what kind of firepower they will be up against.

*kidding;)

Glock 23, 13rds. of Hornady 175gr. Critical Duty(1 in the hole), IWB with simple Kydex holster - at least 90% of the time.

Other times is usually just the BUG, a Ruger LCR with 5 .38 Special 158gr. SJHP in the wheel. Remora pocket holster.

FINALLY! Someone with some reading comprehension.

You're not originally from North Carolina, are you? ;)

My EDC is a G32 in an Alien Gear IWB hybrid holster. When I'm gettin all fancy like I may sneak out the Colt Defender 1911 in a IWB also.

Carried j-frame and k-frame snubs for YEARS till arthritis and tendonitis got ahold of me. G19 since then; but I'm really liking the M&P9c with the FSS trigger.

Really liking my Sphinx SDP for carry (has become one of my favorites)
Welcome sir and Merry Christmas.

G19 in one of my chiefjason OWB leather holsters supported by the dependable Fat Boy belt produced by none other than our very own gunbelt . Hopefully the leather used to make these finely crafted products came from one of the fine specimens traced to the Brangus breed of cattle and possibly produced by a modest staff member named Brangus

When forced to pocket carry it's usually a Ruger LCR chambered in .357 mag properly loaded with Hornady Critical Defense rounds to help any violent perps understand what can possibly happen when older gentlemen are placed into situations to defend themselves.

All of this leather talk has gotten the attention of a co-worker of mine. He sends best wishes for a very Merry Christmas to all.

That's the 1911gobang of the bovine world.

I have finally gotten it through my thick skull after trying several different pistols in different holsters that I now carry a 1911 (again) as my primary......I may/may not have a short very sharp fixed blade knife handy as well......I am now going round and round for my BUG......I tried an LC9 (also bought one for my wife) can't shoot it for spit.....had a PF9 for a few days....tried to love a PM9 (to small).....have always in the past had a snubby and keep going back to them.....then I picked up a Shield.....I think this is going to be my new favorite BUG.....trigger isn't the greatest (even after the Burwell trigger job).....time will tell if I replace the trigger / the gun .....you can bet your bottom dollar if it goes it would only be for a well worn 38 snubby /maybe a snubby 9.

EDC Dump. Glock 19 FDE Ghost inc. 3.5 connector, Ghost x slide release, Ghost x mag release, Pmag 17 Glock mags

Hey..........I do that most days too shadowsbane! I keep the .22 mag cylinder loaded with Hornady Critical Defense in mine and it's usually there as my back up piece.

Thanks for posting this.

Is it the LC9 trigger? I shot an LC9 years ago that a friend bought brand new. It had a laser on it, but even with that I couldn't get the rounds to group at 7 yards. None of us could. I swore I'd never buy one, but then I bought a well used one from rantingredneck and he let me shoot it before buying. Trigger was great - totally different that the one I'd tried before. Tried to get my wife to carry it, but it ended up becoming my EDC. RR said he had put thousands of rounds thru it, which I think helped the trigger. Then I removed the mag disconnect and fixed a factory "interference" issue with the firing pin block, and it got even better. I had considered putting the Galloway trigger goodies in it, but have not felt the need to.
