it’s kind of like shooting a score in golf.

when you realize it is in reach the last few holes or even the last one get a bit harder...

i definitely tightened up when i had only two birds to go...and this is meaningless!!! 😂 i’m so weak!
 
I got to shoot yesterday. Wind totally sucked, but it gave me opportunity to play around some. I usually dial for the majority of wind, but decided to only hold. The 18gr pellets were somewhere between 2-3 MOA but consistently same direction. Unfortunately, not consistent enough in speed though, and I wasn’t going to wait for ideal wind speeds. The 25gr pellets handle the wind better and were between 1-2 MOA. I actually matched my top score so far, and the 7th X is barely a miss again. In this wind, it was a much better card, even if the score matched.

Also got to use my new table. Haven’t finished it, but got it together and now have much more room, and the table top is no longer rotting.

I tried to get some Scope Cam footage, but I changed my settings without testing, and I took the ISO down way too low, so the screen was too dark to see anything. Next time...

Same FX Crown .22 pellet rifle as usual.

Went out and shot today too, and with no wind, I shot the worst set of targets I’ve shot all month!
 
I shot again today, and only shot the 18gr pellets to try out some settings, and I cleared it finally with 7X’s. Cleared it on my 4th card.
I even got some video, but I need to find some software that can support the H.265 video from my GoPro. I’ll try to get that posted sometime too.

My sons and I have gotten into the 200s, but still haven't gotten close to a perfect score. We really liked this match, and even though it took a little while to figure out the scoring, it was better because no one felt skunked, as that we always got a decent score.

My boys have a couple of suggestions from the banter that gets tossed around on the range for future month's targets.

Idea #1: Barns. Shooting them broadside or otherwise. There was a lot of smack talk about who could hit which side of a barn, etc.
Idea #2: Toilet seats. Seriously. But- the idea is to hit the rim _not_ the center!

It is nice to have you and your sons shooting with us. I hope you have fun and continue coming back. Shooting is a great sport that needs to be passed on to our kids. Take care.:)

Toilet idea is hilarious!

Glad you guys joined and had fun. That is all it is supposed to be anyway. I’ve had way more fun shooting since we started doing these.
 
ECNC was our winner. I have started a new thread. Go ahead a pick us a target, hopfully some of us will have a long weekend to shoot our new target. 😀

How about this? I think the cans would give everyone a good chance. If someone has something else I am open to anything.
