I purchased 2k rounds of 9mm with the $100 rebate idea.

Tried to get my rebate 5x times today from both my phone and laptop.
Says the site moved?!?! Every time I hit submit. Anybody else having this problem? Or maybe the site crashed and they won't get to it until Monday? Anybody with info let me know!

I'm not falling for the "Black Box" sale this time around. Last time I made three purchases and applied correctly for each of the three rebate cards. The first card showed already spent the first time it was scanned, the second wouldn't scan at all, and the third I never received. From what I could find online, my experience was not that unusual. So nope, not this time Vista!

I had trouble yesterday but it loaded for me today. I think the servers are just getting pounded.

I bought two smaller boxes of 12 gauge buckshot that qualifies for the rebate. I didn’t buy them for the rebate I bought them because I needed the ammo. It’s not that stellar of a sale of you get to the fine print of having to buy 2 or more boxes to save 12.50 a box.

I just bought other Black Friday deals that ended up with the same Federal ammo being the same price per round via sale prices rather than by rebate. Nothing wrong with the rebate, but options were available to get at or close to the post-rebate price without dealing with it. :)

I got two 1000rd packs of Federal 5.56 off of Natchez: https://www.natchezss.com/federal-x...r-fmj-3165-fps-1000-ct-50-boxes-of-20rds.html and used their 10% off coupon p191128 to get it down to 26 cents a round. I decided paying one cent more per round was worth not having to deal with the rebate, after hearing about the trouble people were having with it. :)

The deal is still good until Monday night at midnight. I'd check it out if I were y'all!

Don't need more 556 but thanks. Also by my calculations the 15o packs from Academy with the rebate & activtjunky 7% would have got me down to $.23 with tax on that ammo for 1200 rounds shipped to your door. ;)

Also 2000 rounds with the coupon + shipping and tax came to $587.59. So you paid $.2935 a round not $.26. So the rebate deal would have saved you $.056+ a round or about 19%. o_O

I didn't bother counting the cost of shipping, because I bought other items along with the ammo that I was going to have to pay shipping for regardless. You're totally right. With the rebate you've got it down to a lower price point. But with the uncertainty folks were having with actually getting the rebate in on time, I didn't feel the rebate was reliable enough to bother with, when the deal I found was still a better deal than PSA tends to have normally (now that they're apparently not doing free shipping on ammo anymore). To each their own. If you want to bother with the rebate, yes you will save more money.

I hear you. Rebates can be a PITA. Some people never get their $$$ so I understand people not wanting to take the chance. PSA actually changed their deal to free shipping as did Academy and others. In the end quality 556 under $.30 delivered is a good deal. Shoot well be safe! I was just double checking that I did not miss a deal. ;)

So I ordered mine online and picked up today from Academy. I printed "the easy step-by-step instructions". I think this is going to be a pain in the butt, pictures of this, upload that. I will guarantee that half or more miss something and give them an excuse to not send you the rebate, oh and the fine print " During high volume seasons, rebate delivery might take up to 20 weeks"

I take pics with my phone, search "federal black pack rebate", submit the form online, and wait. Everything is done on a mobile version of Chrome on my phone.

The same thing I have done with all the Vista/Federal rebates in the last 2 years. They come within 10 weeks and haven't had an issue spending the Visa prepaid cards on more ammo.
