I don't think there will be an Alamo. Have you read
Unintended Consequences? It is admittedly a dry book for about the first half, but I have a feeling it could be a pretty decent possible portrayal of how things could go down. Interestingly, it does deal with NFA items and people who "refused to surrender them".
If the book, admittedly a work of fiction, is any sort of insight:
- Gun grabbing politicians get executed.
- Doxxing and the Internet puts together a list of (federal) agents of the ATF and other agencies.
- They too get executed. Possibly their families get targeted.
- The resistance spreads with people who value their rights and others, such as veterans start bringing the fight to the govt through stealth executions.
- It is a leaderless resistance, but you may find some pseudo leaders helping by directing targets, providing cyber espionage, etc, on dark web channels.
- There will be attempts at raids, some of which won't go well for the govt.
- Former demolition experts may take action destroying govt.facilities and doing things like taking out bridges making traffic into and out of DC impossible, which would greatly hamper the govt's ability to do business.
- More restrictions will be enacted, check points will be manned to search for weapons. Some will forcibly resist on site with casualties on both sides.
- Innocents will get caught up in and killed in the check points.
- As public furor increases, more people will join the fight and the executions of govt. agents and the politicians will increase, all while it becomes impossible for govt. to run and "rule".
- Eventually some sort of deal will be reached where gun restrictions are terminated at a certain date, amnesty is issued for all combatants provided the violence stops on that day.
- After which, real reform will begin.
