Finally watching the walking dead

I watched 30m or so. The cop was an idiot who kept doing stupid things. His friend was banging his wife. His wife was a slut banging his friend. This was all several years ago so they could be worse than I remember...

At that point I started rooting for the zombies to kill them all since they were utterly useless. Sadly they didn't die so I lost interest.

its cool though cause his friend turns out to be the punisher
 
I liked it for the first few seasons, suffered through the next few, wound up missing a good few episodes here and there, tuned back in for the big event, never picked back up after the jump ahead by a few years.

It's a real struggle as I got into Seasons 5-6 from an acting and storytelling point.
 
Made it halfway (maybe?) into season 2 before I couldnā€™t stand to watch anymore.
 
Two episodes and I was done. Everytime I would hear the Zombies growling when I got home I ran to the bedroom and shut the door.

I'm all caught up on the main show and both spin off shows. This is what happens when you have too much time on your hands.

I made it to the season where they march zombies out of the quarry. At that point I couldn't fake being interested anymore.

And the drama. That's what killed it for me.
 
I lost interest. Negan was not scary like I thought he would be (my kid followed the comics). He just wouldn't shut the hell up. When he went into his long-winded speeches, I went to the fridge....gained 10 lbs.
 
TWD is the only broadcast TV show that I watch with any regularity anymore. Seasons 1-4 were by far the best but I have soldiered through all the rest. The episodes with the Saviors were pretty good, the last two seasons have been all but unwatchable at times. I just have to keep watching to see how it ends.

I have watched all the spin-off series and have been less than impressed by either of them. Neither broke any new ground or was very interesting but they both added to the cannon of TWD and are supposed to set up some things that will be in the movies. No matter how bad any of them are, they are still better than watching sports of any kind.

I watched a few seasons when it was on new, but recently me and lady watched season 1 on DVD and then we wanted to watch more. We now own through season 5 and are IN season 5 currently. I forgot how much I enjoyed the show, we're enjoying it together.
Hitting up the local used media stores for used copies for cheap (season 5 was 3 bucks and it's 6 discs, no scratches or anything)

You can stream them all on AMC+. If you're good you might be able to pay for just one month and finish out the show, then cancel.

She doesnt have internet/home wifi at her house, and we've got lots here on the DVR to watch, so we use TWD for her house entertainment, otherwise I'd be IN!

Made it to whatever season they were at the jail.

Watched again when they got to Alexandria. Just a few episodes. When the show gets away from it's premise, I lose interest.

Same thing happened the last few seasons of Dexter...

set your phone up as a wifi hot spot, then have her load it on her phone and link a chromcast to your hotspot....
You may laugh, but I actually did this for years because i didn't want to pay extra for home internet.

Lolz. Me and the ole lady had fun rooting for cast members to get eaten. Can't remember what episode I quit.
And the cop gets back at his buddy for banging his wife but ruthlessly shanking him. Which I'd say is a pretty good comeback.
 
So I just picked up watching Fear the Walking Dead final season. They've introduced a child as a new main character. She's supposed to be 8 years old, the child of Morgan who has been a staple of the original series from season one.
If the zombies that don't rot over 13 years weren't enough, this 8 year old is the most emotionally mature 8 year old ever. Her lines could be read by a 22 year old and not sound out of place. She can fight too.
I started watching this just yo follow up and finish something I started. Now I'm watching it because it's that ridiculous.

You're in for a let down. That show was so good, when you run out of episodes you go into withdrawal.

Ohā€¦I watched it when it airedā€¦just watching it again. Some of the most solid acting everā€¦.Olyphant and Goggins had me believing they were both originally from Harlan.

A lot of times, the finale of a series sucks and itā€™s the worst show of the entire seriesā€¦not this one.

They couldnā€™t of had a more perfect ending than the conversation between Raylan and Boyd.

So we finished TWD...I was a bit let down, honestly. The ending just sort of...happened.

We're NOW 2 seasons behind on Fear

And this month (this week?) a spinoff show with Maggie and Negan starts -Dead City, I think. We have it set to record and will watch it

It's good entertainment

Basically after season seven it becomes completely unwatchable. I had been reading the comics when it came out and liked it for 6 seasons.
Then a new head of staff took over, diversified it and made it all about girl power, man bad and diverse couples. It became a lame soap opera. You'll notice after season seven even when they are shooting there's no shells ejected and the writing is way worse than before.
Certainly font rewatch it either or it gets even worse

I dont think I've gotten past season 7 or 8, just lost interest.

But i did go back and watch the first seasons recently and was shocked at how good/different they are from the rest of the show. Shame they changed it so much.

I watched all seasons of TWD. I was very disappointed in the ending. I was hoping that Rick was gonna reunite with his folks and find out about the helicopter that picked him. I don't have time for the spin offs. I did watch two episodes of fear TWD but didn't like it.

FTWD starts to get good by the end of season 1
 
Too much nihilism...nothing redemptive or cathartic. Stopped when Glen got smashed.
 
Dead City began on Sunday night
We recorded and watched last night - not a bad first episode
Saw a 'preview' for a Daryl spin off that comes this fall.

Theyre milking this TWD train for all it's worth. Good on them, if it sells I wouldnt stop either.

I thought TWD end was meh
This picks up pretty good though
 
We watched all of the WD. It got pretty lame after Neegan lost.
We're trying to finish up FTWD, this last season is really sucky.
I lasted about two episodes of the one with the kids, that one really sucked.
