Finished up my range

Good idea I may swap them its just left over swing set chain with fence staples in the telephone pole
I used large screw eyes which make it easy to replace chains. Either opened end or normal and I bend them open enough to hook chain over.

When I was running straight chain I took a cut off wheel to the end of the hook so I could better control the spacing of the opening to help with accidental dismounts. Later, I used Quick Links or anchor shackles thru the eyebolt and just eliminate said dismounts. Costs a bit more.
Nice set up OP.. Commence to makin gun music..

I just used a couple vise grips to bend the eyes open. I found that orienting the opening at 12:00 kept the chains from coming off.

hardware on the rear?

get some assistance and turn the top bar end for end.... ;)
barney's nickel :)

Those tennons are very tight it'd probably pull the post out before they let loose. They took some persuasion to get them through
