I've got a pretty nice Mosin I picked up for what I think was a deal. It's not the one I want though. So I'm curious what they go for. Mine is a 91/27, but I'd really like an M39.

Pictures would help immensely.

Can you post a picture of the markings on the top of the barrel shank/receiver?

Id like to see the whole rifle, a good overall shot would be a great help.

Just judging from the limited pictures, on the positive side, it appears to be in decent shape. On the negative side, it looks like somebody sanded and refinished the stock. These are not terribly rare or particularly desirable - except that folks still tend to impute a little extra importance and value on Finnish variants in general. The actual value really just depends on the bore condition and how bad somebody wants it. I'd expect it to sell pretty quickly at $350 - $400 regardless; and if the bore condition is really good, a $450 - $500 initial ask would not unrealistic in today's thin retail milsurp market. Carry it to a big gun show or throw it on Gunbroker and you might can find a sucker and squeeze a little more out of it.

I would keep it, the M27 is a rare piece and will only go up in value…mine shoots real well and will hold its own, as long as I do my part.image.jpg

It might be worth changing the title of your WTS add. This is an 1942 Tikka M91. "91/27" is an unfamiliar term, and will probably just cause confusion.
