First carbine match

Plan to shoot a carbine match this month but I need some gear. I was going to order a blade tech mag holster but I'm confused by their designations. I want it on my left hip so I assume left hand. Has anyone ordered from them to know? The confusion is by "left hand" do they mean for the left hand or for left handed shooters (right side of body)?

Maybe this isn't a competition holster?
Back pocket would probably work if that's legit. I know for certain any time lost holster vs pocket isn't going to be what causes me to have a bad score.

Nah, not really an IDPA guy. I used to shoot a lot of IDPA. I enjoy USPSA a bit more nowadays.

I shoot Steel Challenge and Falling Steel most every month at Pappy’s but have never been to their practice night.

Falling Steel is more fun than you can imagine! By far my favorite of all of the games. You have to be accurate to be competitive. No outrunning misses in that game.

The nice thing about something with, say, a Techlok: you can remove it easily without removing your belt or other items on your belt. This is useful for multi gun matches. Or, if you shoot different matches.

Unfortunately the choices are minimal around Pappy’s. Although @jjwestbrook took me to a chicken joint last month that had the biggest Buffalo chicken sandwich I’d ever seen! It was pretty tasty.

SPSA in Spartanburg is where the food is! @Mike Overlay get this man some ocular proof of the burrito! I know you have it!

That's what's great about this place came here asking the wrong question and you all are helping me see the light. My focus was all wrong.

FYI CCSC Dec. 30th Fun Shoot at Pappy's has been revised:
It is with apologies that I must announce we will not be able to accommodate rifle shooters at the Carbine Match on Dec. 30th. This decision is based out of an abundance of caution as the planning progressed.

We will be adding a handgun division to replace the rifle division. Over the next couple of days any shooter who registered for Rifle will be placed in Handgun. If you have a PCC and would like to switch to PCC division, it can be accomplished through your PractiScore personal match management page. If you choose to withdraw, it can also be done via the PractiScore personal match management page.

The handgun division will be open to all people wishing to shoot a handgun.
We again apologize for this change and confusion it has caused. We hope you still attend the match as a Handgun or PCC Shooter and enjoy stages that have been put together.

CGGR has a rifle match Saturday. Many spots left. Also Sir Walter has one the following Saturday. Registration not open yet.
