FN 502 / RMR issue

I’ve got one and it’s great. I put a type 1 RMR 06 that’s been upgraded by Trijicon on and haven’t looked back.

It’s so much fun a friend bought one for his wife. New 502 and new type 2 RMR 06. I offered to mount the optic for him as it’s a Christmas present for her.

The pins on the RMR plate are too big in diameter to key into the RMR.

I messed with it for a bit and had to bail. Called FN customer service at 3 today and got a recording about being closed on the 25th. I’ll call back on 26th.

I don’t think the type 2 had any different housings. And the pistol was build after the type 1 was phased out. To me, it seems we have an out of spec plate.

Any thoughts CFF?

Hmmm weird. I had a rmr on mine and my friend has a rmr on his. It’s for sure a tight fit but no issues. The pistols were purchased a month or so apart about 11-12 months ago.

The optics I can’t say really for mfg date but they are also type 2.
