Food longevity, actual personal experience

I can only imagine what chemicals are in that for it to be ok that far out....wow!
Sometimes it is what is taken out that improves longevity. I store dried beans, rice, peas in Mylar bags with 02 absorbers inside. I also store the same items in food grade plastic containers filled with food grade nitrogen. No oxygen environments prevent most spoilage.

so any insight on the mountain house big cans? have had several for around 8yrs and sometimes gets out of ideal temp range stated on can-been meaning to crack couple open to test and see but was curious if others have any personal testimony?

Not the cans but I have some pouches that are several years old that stay in my truck. I got one of them out awhile back and ate it. ‘Twas fine. Gonna try not to open any of my #10 cans til after the election :D
 
Dinty Moore beef stew in the large can. Dated 2014. Looks like it should. Smells like it should. Taste like beef stew.
