Rs regulate and Midwest industries should make something compatible with the Gen 1, pistol or not. Gen 2's seem to have a free float, so Im expecting that they arent interchangeable.

I like the Midwest guard on my 7.62x51mm, But I dont think you can go wrong with either option.... although id swear the Midwest unit ends up lighter...

@TheMikeL - Krebs Custom also makes a handguard for Gen 1 guns, though personally it looks like total dog ass:
I have RS Regulate and Midwest Industries handguards on different ACE rifles and pistols, and very much prefer the MI for aesthetics. It looks much more natural on the ACE than the RS versions, which may be why IWI went with MI for its Gen 2 guns. Just make sure you're choosing a handguard compatible with threaded variant ACEs, and not smooth variants.

So what’s the deal with the mag compatibility with the Gen 2 x39 since they say “only use American mags” anyone have experience yet?

Check out my WIPs, just got my Gen 2 x39 yesterday, I actually kind of like it more than I thought, I put a set of Troy micro’s on it and it’s growing on me, mags and ammo come this week

Referring to post #54 I believe the key to the iron sights is using micros as the standard (Gen 1) galil sights are low on the rail and the Gen 2 rail has no sights you need them as low as possible and I think the troys helped me like it more even though the Troy rear still sits like 1/2” higher than the Gen 1 sights, I think the sight gripe I had over this gun is ok 👌🏻

Mike, yes I believe KNS is the only kit, besides the factory option for Gen 2 guns or simply cutting off the plastic magwell cover.

They kinda suck when it comes to shipping since they drop ship a lot of stuff, but the last delete I bought there showed up four or five days later. Plus it's 10% off right now.
What do you think of the final product of my 762x39? I could get the ALG Galil trigger but I feel 3.5# pull is too light, it’s just under 5# and nice and crisp, lookin sharp 👌🏼
