I don’t know who copied whom. My McCulloch chainsaw looks really close to that powerhead.

Used before portable generators and nail guns were available to jobsites without power. My Grandfather had several of the saws and it was also before hammers went out of vogue...

I've got 2 of the Wright gas powered reciprocating saws. I display them at engine shows along with the other old saws I have. Very interesting and dangerous design. I will try to post photos when I get back home.

That was really cool to watch. I'm all about some power tools but haven't seen anything like that before.

I was at an Engine show where a guy had one of these Homelite saws on display. He also had a Homelite gas powered drill. They even made a gas powered winch.
