After years of shooting glocks i was tired of the intermittent slide bite i was getting. I took the factory medium backstrap with beaver tail, and cut it down to make a homemade grip force force adapter. I used it yesterday in the match. Observations
Pistol presented flatter
No slide bite or oil lines on hand
Web of shooting hand didn’t feel as beat up
Dot was present upon draw (don’t know how much this affected, dot is usually there now).
Draw wasn’t affected

I did that once as well, saw it on some youtube video and though "I'm stealing that idea".

Yours is much more... refined than mine was.

I've thought about doing the same, for the same reason. The gen5 Glock frame fits me perfectly with *no* backstrap, but with no beavertail while using a modern grip, getting bitten by that slide and especially the striker is a common occurrence. I'm glad to see it works.

for some reason the”feel” of the naked glock is better, however feeling lie. No pain, rail road tracks, scores and times do not. I have class next weekend that will be the true test
