I marred the top of my slide with a MGW sight Install tool ( see pic). I've checked into some options for having the slide relished. I can send it back to Glock and they will redo the factory Nitride Finish for $50. I can send it to Jagerworks and they will do a black Nitride finish $50/slide and $20 for the barrel. Not really sure if I would need the barrel treated or not. Third option would be to have the slide cerakoted locally for $80 and have it back in a week. Probably 2-6 weeks if I send it to Glock or Jagerworks. Just wondering what should I do and if anyone has any experience on this. Thanks

I don't think it would make any difference from a functional standpoint. This really comes down to whether or not its appearance bothers you. If it does, get it fixed because it'll be worth the wait.

However, this would also be a great time to:
1. Consider using a site sponsor to do the work locally. @Djstorm100 is who to contact.
2. Get it cut for an optic.

There is a place in Ohio that you can send it to as well H&M Metal I believe.

Glock refinishing is fine and jagerworks does great work.

Not personally a fan or cerakote on carry guns because its gonna get scratched wear with a holster like all other finishes.
