Golf car

Now that you have the green machines figured out, when are you going to order a Tesla & post the pros & cons for the rest of us?

I'm not a member and there's not one really near me. The closest one is in Matthews, which is over an hour away.
There’s one 6.3 miles from where we’re all getting together for lunch Friday. Just sayin’. 🤓

Dang it. I really wish I would have taken more or better before pics of the seats. They were "clean," but stained. Looked like crap.

I tried a couple suggestions from this thread, but they either didn't work so good (@Dale Gribble), or I wasn't thorough enough.

My neighbor, who happens to be a retired paint and body dude, recommended a Clorox cleaner with Tilex. I asked my wife to pick some up, figuring if it didn't work any better, at least we can use it around the house. She did, and I just used it this afternoon.

For little effort, I think it came out pretty darned good. Maybe I can put off selling some stocks for a little while, just to buy new seat covers.

I've had good luck with 303 Marine Aerospace UV protectant preventing future stains after a good cleaning on my vinyl boat seats. It is a bit of money, but it helps seal up the vinyl after the harsh bleach cleaners. Starbrite has a clear plastic restorer system that has helped clean some of the haze off my windshield as well.

I skimmed through this thread but missed how you got the batteries going. I really don’t feel like going through it again.

What did you end up doing?

I dropped a doo doo nugget in each one, then wished upon a star..

Praise Corey Haim!

He had some good advice

I saw where @bigfelipe bought some new T105 batteries for his RV and it reminded me to update this thread.

Sorry, but no updates, except to say that this cart is still rolling on those old batteries and being driven at least once, but often times, twice around ours and surrounding neighborhoods.

I really should get a rear view mirror.

That is all.

My cart is still trucking along with the old batteries. I'm not running it for too many laps at a time, but it does just fine, still.

As I was heading up the road to pick up 640lbs of free pellets for my smoker, I saw a cart for sale. I don't think it was as much of a deal as the one I got, originally, but there may be enough meat on the bone for a flip... maybe.

1997 EZ-GO. Everything is just okay, but it does have new batteries. The guy is firm on $2500.

640 lbs of pellets!!!!! You can do a lot of cooking with that many pellets. When do we eat?

You have gotten more time out of them than I would have thought.

I finally replaced them yesterday.

They were still doing well, in my opinion, but we were only making a daily (sometimes twice a day) trip around the neighborhood. One lap and back may have only been a half mile... maybe.

My son in law asked if he needed to buy new batteries for it. He took it for a ride Saturday night and his passenger (friend that prolly weighs about 220lbs) had to get off it so it would roll faster. I asked him where all had he been, because I wasn't having a problem with it.

Long story short, an ol' timer was recommended as the guy I should get my batteries from. They were new, cheap, with a 1 year guarantee. The fellow said if I keep the water topped off, I could get up to seven years from them. We'll see.

My cores and $590 later, they in.

Out with the old.

Looks like you took out Trojans, what brand were the replacements? Sounds like a good price, I need to replace mine also.

Some battery chargers have a repair mode that cycles them through a charge/discharge cycle to rejuvenate them.

There isn't a brand name on them. Just "Made in USA," with some codes engraved, and warning stickers on them.
