Good deal today. S&W M&P 2.0 bundle.

Nice pistol. I’ve owned several M&P 9 and 45’s over the years and always liked how they shot. Accuracy from the 9mm were iffy but I’m not a bullseye shooter so they were fine for connecting on steel at 25-50 yards. The 45 auto model I had was impressively accurate.

my adoration of DA/SA pistols (P-09, P30) keeps me away from most striker guns but the M&P has a special place for me. I still have a shield-45 as it just shoots too nicely to sell.

Nice.

I paid about $600 for my Compacts with thumb safeties. I had an original 1.0FS with a mush trigger and could never get consistent accuracy past 15 yards including other shooters. The 2.0s are super accurate in my hands and the new trigger is lit. If I wasn't so invested in Glocks, I would probably go exclusively M&P 2.0.

I have heard great things about the 2.0 so saw this as a good chance to check it out. I wish the extended mags were stippled, but for $500 I can’t expect everything.

On the new S&W 'metal frames' they have an overtravel stop that helps with the "Glock-lurch" (as I call it) of striker fired guns. Although the stop (or frame bump) is a little too short to really help much. Has any one played around with making the bump/stop a little taller? I see this model has the same type of stop, but it looks like just a protruding spot behind the plastic frame.
