Anyone here using their own mill. Thinking on adding one to my hobbies since ammo is scarce. Have my own wheat and corn.

Take a look at the Wondermill Jr. Its a solid compromise on price with really good performance. When I was looking for one, this was hands down the recommended one to get. It comes with both stone and steel grinding wheels. You can run it by hand and you will sweat up a storm by the time you make 3 cups of flour OR you can get the 1/2” drill attachment (and warm up your drill).

The only ones I'm familiar with are Meadows Mills made in N. Wilkesboro for over 100 years. My cousin has about a half dozen of their grist mills from 12" up to 30" that he powers with hit and miss engines.

They have an 8" mill that will do 50#/hr, but it starts around $2K. Probably bigger than most homeowners want or need. Would work well for a group of like minded folks to share.

I got a 3 wheel mill but it doesnt do bread ready products. The Meadows mills looks nice and need to add that to my preps.
