I travel all over NC/SC and alway make a point to stop in the local gun stores, or ones along my route. Looking to see what everybody favorite gun stores are. My top 4 and reasons from current travels no particular order. All 4 stores are ones I am willing to drive 30min out of my way to stop in, just to look around.

Fuquay Gun- lots of accessories and good ammo deals

The Gun Store in Lexington- best selection of anything reloading (picked up some winchester 45-70 brass today)

Victory Arms & Munitions- good selection of everything, very helpful employees.

Nichols Store- good selection of guns, hennry gold dealer, and hunting clothes.

I am adding Foothills Jewelry & Loan- in Hickory Great selection really good prices, people were very nice.

I am sure I am missing alot, let me know yall thoughts.

If youre in/around Vale, NC, stop by Bullseye on Hwy 10.
Limited selection of modern pistols/ARs, but have a great selection of use steel and walnut long guns. They also have a good selection of powders if youre a reloader.
Be warned, though, those guys and the hangers around in the sittin chairs love to talk 🙂

Nice going to have to check them out for the power selection, thanks

Gunners Choice in Dunn
Dwight has an awesome collection on display and is a very knowledgeable soul on war firearms and the state of things.
New gun selection is limited but can get what you seek.

Mid South in Wagram. I’m pretty sure you’ll be shocked.
I will have to check them, next time I am in the Laurinburg area.
Go next door to the gas station and get fried chicken.

First trip you better plan on 2 hours min in Mid South.
Look at the photos on Goggle Maps to get an idea of what you will be walking into.

Looked at there website, there's a picture of a Mark V with and oil filter supressor actually registered lol That's my kind of place!

Liberty Guns in Hillsborough (if you're ever headed north or east on 85/40) is a really good shop and has some fine folks working there... they are very knowledgeable and only use it in the good way... I have seen them use much patience with folks new to firearms and never condescending or acting like they know more than someone else (yall know what I'm talking about) ... not the biggest store but if they don't have it, they will work hard to find what you want quickly while you are there at a very reasonable price... you will not be disappointed with the experience

Poppies gun and pawn in China Grove. And not to far up the road is Blue Collar Reloading

Nichols is only good for browsing and finding what suits you. But the trick is to leave after that and buy online and not pay their ridiculous markup.

Yes, that's exactly what I do most of the time with them.

I like dealing with Victory Arms and Munitions. Great people.

Randolph Guns and Ammo a new one that opened up I’m Asheboro a couple months ago. On N Fayetteville St. for a new shop, they were well stocked with new and used guns. Like most places, have know your prices. Seen some good deals and some not so much.

Great thread! I'm driving from Eastern to Western NC soon and this is helping me plan some of the places I want to stop at.

I would like to add Tiller and Lanier in Wilmington - they typically have some used/unique stuff.

Also, for anyone driving through/near Jacksonville, there are 5 shops all within 10 minutes of each other. Guerrilla Armament, Semper Fi Guns, Gunshop Jacksonville, Armageddon Armory, and Heath's Pawn. They generally have newer stuff, but if you're in the area there's a lot to see.

thanks for that one, on Google it a police supply store, I defiantly would have overlooked it.
Yeah I have been down to Wilmington a bunch and have never gone for that reason - might check it out today.

I have a job in Jville once a year, stop in just about every one of those gun stores every time. Eastern Outfitters out 285 was decent last time I was there.

Make sure you stop by Stumpies in Swansboro next time if you're able - they always have something cool in the shop.

Stopped in Blue collar reloading today, I never seen so many bullets in one place, pretty awsome. Lots of match bullets also. They had tons of powders. Also dang good prices on bullets. Good Call
Less then 10 minutes from my house

Victory Arms in Mocksville is my go to shop and FFL transfererererer.
They have a lot of oddball military surplus stuff, lots of older rifles and shotguns, and lots of soft goods/military surplus. Uniforms, hats, molle stuff, etc.

Found a little hidden jem in Hickory. Stopped in Foothills Jewelry & Loan. There name is very deceiving. Huge selection of new and used guns. Really good prices. Almost walked out of there with two guns. But figured I didn't want to end up, being that guy in a couple months selling all his guns on here in a divorce fire sale for guns.

If anyone makes it to the eastern side of the state - I would highly suggest a visit to Guerrilla Armament in Jacksonville, NC. Solid selection of all manner of firearms , optics, suppressors , ammo and accessories.
Any accessories purchased will be installed by one of the staff gunsmiths (if you need this)
Great people , some really solid deals too

I was in Mocksville today and stopped in. It is bigger than I expected. Looks like they have a pretty good inventory. Pricing is about what I expected, Glock 17 / 19, $625, primers $115 / 1000, ammo not bad for retail. But they have it on the shelf.

I bought two boxes of shotgun shells just to give a little support to the independent guys vs. the big box stores.
