Hamburger Helper…. The Love is Real…

I was hooked on the HH beef stroganoff for quite awhile. Not sure if they changed the ingredients or I just lost my taste for it.
The cheeseburger mac and chili mac still work for me though.
The beef stroganoff was a good one.. I always tossed in a dollop of sour cream to take it up a notch!

Agreed, the beef stroganoff was a favorite but it seemed like the flavor of it changed. Beef pasta is my other one.

I prefer to mix some dirty rice with some ground beef or venison mixed up with some cheese and enjoy with tortilla chips

I like pretty much all of it. Seems like they dropped some flavors or the grocers here don't carry the full line. Cheeseburger Mac with Texas Pete, got my kid on dredging the remnants with buttered bread.

My wife and I do. We made it through college on hamburger helper!
Today we use ground venison to make ours.
Same here. At times we were so poor, though, we just ate helper. Haven’t had it since college but have made knock off versions of it. Might have to try it again. We’ve taken up ramen noodles too, so there’s hope.

I think they changed it also, something is off about it. My wife started making homemade stroganoff because HH wasn't cutting it.

Mine too, she uses beef stew chunks instead of hamburger.

Chili mac and the lasagna are my go-to. You just can't pretend that the lasagna is supposed to taste like actual lasagna. Agree on something "off" about the Stroganoff in recent history. Almost like its developed some sort of plastic taste.

Hamburger helper would be a cheap and excellent meal to make a bunch of, and then freeze dry.

Before I was married, I ate a lot of it, mostly Cheeseburger Mac. Then wife didn't like it so I had to take a 27 year break from it. Wife got sick and I learned to cook. Wife got sicker and had to move to a care facility, so now I'm home alone again. And even though I can cook now, HH is still a great go-to when it's just me and I didn't plan ahead or don't feel like cooking.

It’s definitely an easy go to meal and a comfort food, for me. Hopefully, it will bring a touch of comfort to you as well.

We were so poor the adults ate boiled hot dog weenies, the kids got the Red Water the weenies boiled in...Hot Dog Soup

You can just buy it direct now.

Back in the day Cheesy Hash browns were my Favorite but I think they changed the recipe since it doesn’t come out the same anymore. Stroganoff is still in dinner rotation though. Daughter asks for it often.
