One of these days, I'll have to put together a list like that.

Both sides of my family fought for independence during the Revolution. Dad was in the Pacific Theater WWII. My oldest brother was in the reserves and got sent to Germany during the 1st Gulf War. My nephew is an E-8 and was accepted for WO.

I only hung out in Germany for a couple of years

Finding the military service was an unintended consequence of doing genealogy research. I've found a few more but haven't put them on the list.

Chesty Puller was very much out of the blue.

Your family represented, too. A lot of pride for that.
