I submitted three free SBR applications on May 30. One was approved over a month ago. No word on the other two. I was wondering if maybe they see that the rule is dying and they didn’t want to give away any more free ones. What has been your experience?
 
Plenty of brace approvals posted on arf and reddit over the last few days. Seems to be a fair number of January submissions finally getting approved.
 
I’m still waiting on my three, filed as an individual and it’s been about two months and some change. I’ve heard conjecture that the ATF is deliberately letting at least some of these applications lapse until FBI/NICS shits the bed and they come back disapproved. Or something like that. Just a rumor, I have no idea.
 
I can't say that I'm not ashamed of doing the "free" "amnesty" "SBR" registration. That being said, the federal gubmints already has all the information it could ever need on me (including biometrics) from immigration and my stint in the military. I'm also getting into suppressors so I'm already in the NFA game. That and if you've ever filed out a 4473, the ATF already has information about you. I do think that ATF's unconstitutional "rulings" are a bunch of malarkey.

I was being funny. I'm in the same boat. In addition to many guns bought after submitting a 4473 I also have a federal explosives license (Employee possessor of high explosives) so I'm on just as many lists.
